On January 26th, 2008, Miss Mariel Anjelique Lane was crowned Miss Teen National America 2008. Young ladies around America competed and had the great opportunity to capture this worthy crown. A sixteen year old eleventh grade junior who attends Bolton High School from Tennessee was the winner. Her proud family is Mr. Michael Lane (father), Dr. Victoria Lane (mother), and her brother (Malachi Andre Lane). Her grandparents are Rev. & Mrs. Eugene Richmond (Alma) of Tennessee, and Mrs. Joyce Lane who resides in Washington D.C...


This is not a traditional Pageant, and “it is not based solely on how you look, but who you are.” Contestants compete once a year and are judge not only on physical beauty, but on their documented Achievements, Community Service, Essay, and complete an Intensive Interview. Miss Lane will be traveling to Canada this summer to assist teaching Ballet and will be making an appearance. She has an exciting full year before her as Miss Teen National America 08. Congratulations Mariel!!!
