MISS INDIA INTERCONTINENTAL- TRAINED BY THE TIARA PAGEANT AND MODEL TRAINING STUDIO
The beauty contest MISS INTERCONTINENTAL is held by the WBO [World Beauty Organization] each year this is the 37th year of MISS INTERCONTINENTAL. The 2008 MISS INTERCONTINENTAL beauty pageant will take place on 25TH October 2008 in the music and festival domain Zebraze, Poland. The pageant will start on the 7TH October and will last till 26TH October. It will bring the countries closer together and will give an opportunity to share universal values and define together a common deal of elegance and beauty.
The last winner from India for MISS INTERCONTINENTAL was Lara Dutta who won the MISS INTERCONTINENTAL crown in 1997 in Germany. This year 70 countries will participate to win the most expensive crown in the field of beauty pageants. The contestant for this year’s MISS INTERCONTINENTAL pageant from India will be Sonia Jain. This year’s delegate Sonia Jain was nominated by her national director Ms.Ritika Ramtri Kumar, Pageant Coach of THE TIARA.
Her fitness expert Mr. Prashant Jagtap helped Sonia to gain a well-sculpted and toned body, while Makeup Expert Nitesh Pawar taught her the rudiments of makeup.
Profile -Sonia Jain, Miss India Intercontinental 2008
Sonia Jain is 19 yrs old and stands 5’7” tall. She is presently doing her S.Y.B.B.A from The Ness Wadia College in Pune. She did her schooling from the New Era High School in Panchgani, followed by her high school from Rims International School in Pune. Her hobbies include dancing, swimming, hiking, rappelling, traveling and paragliding. Sonia is an animal lover and works tirelessly towards animal welfare, which is also her platform. As an active member of Blue Cross Society of Animals, she loves to spend her time with them. She believes that the most important values such as unconditional love forgiving nature and loyalty can be learnt from animals.
For three years consecutive years Sonia was the Prefect of New Era High school and actively participated in school dramas, dances and debates. She was also a finalist at the NDA Queen Pageant 2008. Sonia has also walked the ramp for Designer Nivedita Saboo and Pune Central. She also learnt dance from Shamak Davar in Pune. As a child she performed Kathak both on stage and television. She aspires to win Miss Intercontinental 2008 and do the country proud. Her ambition is to take her platform which is animal welfare to a higher level. She also plans to take up acting as a profession.
